Quickly adapts a 5/8" baby stud to a 3/8"-16 threaded male post.

This receiver slides over a 5/8" stud and locks into place with a twist of the knob. It can be mounted in a straight up-and-down orientaiton, or use the holes on the side to mount it at a 90-degree angle.

Once mounted, a 3/8"-16 threaded male post at the top of the receiver can be used to connect a variety of accessories. A jam nut on the post is helpful for locking the accessory into place. 

By connecting the receiver to an accessory ahead of time you can quickly mount it to a light stand, boom, arm, or other grip item.
